IPO AT INTERNATIONAL CRIMINOLOGY CONFERENCE

Friday, November 05/2021 was held the INTERNATIONAL CRIMINOLOGY CONFERENCE, a virtual conference, organized by the Policy Studies Organization,

which, in their program has a lot of different conferences and projects.

Today's conference was dedicated to criminology, where the greatest experts spoke about various segments of criminology.

Understanding the fact that criminology is the study of crime and criminal behavior, informed by principles of sociology and other non-legal fields, including psychology, economics, statistics, and anthropology, it is very clear that this is a science that has a very large material, which has much different and interesting thematic sessions.

The purpose of this event was to promote interdisciplinary dialogue about topics related to criminology in its broadest context, including causes, consequences both on a micro and macro level, control, and prevention.

The event brought together academics, policymakers, NGOs, business and social leaders from a variety of backgrounds, for discussion about issues.

Considering that our organization's main goal is education, prevention, and control of crime, as well as cooperation with other NGOs, our presence at this conference, had very big importance.

At this big event participated too the leading team of International Police Organization IPO HQ, represented by the Executive President Dr. Tomori Mareglen, the Vice President of Administration Dr. Dorina Bala, and the Coordination Director Mrs. Sanela Nikolic BSc

Few topics were presented at the all-day conference, lectured by the experts such as Harvard professors, investigators, crime analysts, etc. Topics like “ Geographic Profiling”, “Law enforcement workforce and ethics of police tactics”, “Criminal in justice reform”, “Policing pandemic”, “Cybercriminals know your people better than you” have aroused big interest of experts in these fields, as well as many NGOs.

This conference was of big importance, not only for sharing knowledge with the greatest experts but to make cooperation with other NGOs and individuals, who have the same purposes as our organization for education and prevention, to contribute together, for a safer community, for a safer tomorrow.
